Secrets Akumal
In the fall 2015, we went to Secrets Akumal, this is an adult only resort. We really like Secret Resorts. I loved that I could walk out of my room straight to the beach and snorkel ( we have our own snorkel equipment) . I would snorkel 2 times a day. One day I took slices of bread in a baggie out in the ocean with me. I tore the bread in small pieces and watched the fish swarm to get the bread. If you do this please make sure you keep very careful hold of the baggie, you do not want to lose this in the ocean. I was able to swim the sea turtles, fish, barracuda, and even seen a string ray. I was in heaven! I love the idea of dressing up for dinner and being served dinner. I take care of grandchildren everyday so for me this is a special treat. We would get up early in the morning and watch the sun rise. The staff was amazing. They tried to make sure that they greeted you with a smile on their face. They tried to make sure that they had something for you to do all day long if you choose to. Would I go back, yes in a heartbeat!
