Iberostar Tucan, Riviera Maya, Mexico

In spring of 2016, my husband and I traveled to Iberostar Tucan. We decided to do a quick 5 night trip but really didn’t want to spend a lot of money. The rooms are nothing fancy, no special frills but clean. This is a family friendly resort, but the children were never an issue. They have a playground area for small children along with an adult only pool. I am not a pool person who I spend my entire time at the beach. We are early risers so we are up by 6 am and off to get coffee, breakfast and then the beach were we spend the rest of the day. The down side to Iberostar was we only got two meals that were ala carte, the rest were buffet. BUT if you went every day and asked if they had any opening at the ala carta restaurants you could get in (if there is an opening). So we ended up eating 4 out of 5 nights at an ala carte restaurant. The beach was very nice there and the water was clear. They had a lot of activities if you chose to participate in. My husband and I both agreed we would go back.
