The following week my husband and I went for a quick getaway for us! We stayed at Herman Hill Vineyard and Winery. We stayed in the Cynthiana Guest Suite. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. When we arrived we were greeted with a drink choice of wine, beer, soda, water or frozen margaritas. Along with a small snack served fresh from their kitchen, which we enjoyed out on the patio overlooking the town. When we arrived at our room much to our surprised was a nice from the resort, candies, and eye masks. Once settled in our room we received our welcome gift-a drink of your choice (wine, beer, margarita or soda) cheese, bread, grapes which we enjoyed on our small but adequate balcony. In the evening you can watch the deer (we counted 7) grazing through the grape vines. In the evening they had a meet and greet at the river’s edge cabins. Now if I am honest, the drinks there were nothing to brag about. Tasted watered down. BUT again, had all sorts of snacks, salami, grapes, crackers, cheese, etc. In the evening around 9 pm the owner actually brings you a cup of ice cream and a cookie! Now I had no clue when I booked this room that we were actually going to get all of this OR I would NOT have ordered a bottle of wine and salami and cheese tray! Which was in our refrigerator in our room. In the morning we decided we wanted to have breakfast out on the patio. They give you different choices and breakfast options. I am gluten free and was glad that they had a few breakfast options I could choose from.
